What Will the Volunteer Committee Do?
This group will explore volunteer opportunities that employees can participate in individually, with teams, or as a department. We will be doing a project as a department this year in response to the Governor’s executive order, but this group will vet other opportunities which will allow our agency to not only serve our customers but also our communities.
Current Volunteer Opportunities
By participating in these activities/opportunities you will receive 4 hours of administrative (service) leave based on the Governor’s executive order. You must record your volunteer hours with Melissa Brown, [email protected], in order to receive the administrative (service) leave.
Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity needs help in their ReStore, this opportunity provides more flexibility when you want to volunteer. Shifts are available Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 5:30 pm.

You can have up to 12 regular volunteers at a time, but you can have multiple groups of volunteers at different times on the same day.

Typical jobs include accepting donations from the community, organizing aisles, and general maintenance. We have jobs for people who need light-duty work or heavy-duty.

Keeping Utah Beautiful – Volunteer Litter Pick-Up Program
Keeping Utah Beautiful is UDOT’s volunteer litter pick-up program. This program has replaced the Adopt a Highway Program. Volunteer groups may sign up and perform one-time litter clean-up events that are coordinated through UDOT’s regional offices.
